“What was adopted with commission number 8 to which I belong was to have our Cameroon united but decentralized with more powers to the local authorities, more financial means and reducing the control by the senior divisional officers and the divisional officers of the council.
Having the regional president at the level of the regions and the regional governors, there won’t be any conflict because the regional government have the overall power, where as the president of the regional council has his own power limited by the power given back to the decentralize collectivity by the state.
We hope that with all means given at the councils of the north west and south west regions, with other dispositions to compare what will be done on the field, we have no doubt that progressive peace will be back and our country will move to the development as before.”
