Coronavirus Death in Cameroon Surpasses 100 as the Virus Claims 40 New Persons

The Coronavirus pandemic has claimed over 40 new victims in Cameroon, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to one hundred and eight (108), updated COVID-19 figures from the World Health Organization, WHO have confirmed.

According to the Organization, as at Monday May 4, 2020, Cameroon’s COVID-19 deaths stood at 108, an increase of over 40 new victims in less than a week, bringing the rate of lethality to 4.8%.




The Organization equally indicates that two hundred and one (201) new cases have been recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to two thousand, two hundred and sixty-five (2,265).

As far as recovery cases are concerned, the reports says the country has successfully treated nine hundred and thirty-four (934) infected persons.

In the same light, health authorities in the country indicate that over 10 000 samples were screened these days.
