The solidarity fundraisers of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party, in the context of the fight against the coronavirus, had set themselves the goal of reaching the sum of 400 thousand euros, about 262 million FCFA at the end of the day on Tuesday 07 April 2020.
The last phase of contributions made Tuesday before the press release from the Minister of Territorial Administration ordering stop of the fundraising operations launched “in defiance of the legislation in force”, Displayed “323,935 euros, or 212,487,431 CFA francs”, according to Engelbert Lebon Datchoua, one of the executives of the CRM.

“I would like to thank all the donors and assure them that everything is being done to reach the objectives assigned to this operation”, reacted Christian Penda Ekoka, Chairman of the Management Committee of the fundraising Operation called “Survie Cameroun/ Survival Initiative.
Launched on Monday 06 April 2020, this operation has already made it possible to collect approximately 262 million FCFA in the space of three days.
The official reaction of the CRM is awaited, after the disapproval of the Minister of Territorial Administration.
