Ngabuh Massacre: Time To Publish Inquiry Comission Report

The 8-day dateline prescribed by president Paul Biya for an inquiry into the Ngarbuh massacre has expired. The north west regional governor had on February 27 stated that the commission had told the press that the investigators were despatched that same day to Ngabuh.

There has been no word on their findings into the 14 Feb. tragedy.

The Voice newspaper is watching. The findings need to be made public especially as the Ngarbuh incident has triggered world condemnation of the Cameroon military.

The government criticised international human rights organisation for indicting government troops of deliberately killing so many children and women. Human rights watch has even used satellite imagery to nail the military.

Whatever the case, Many who know Cameroun so well are praying that the commission’s investigations would not end up in the dark as has happened to many previous reports.
