The armed conflicts in Wum have been reportedly complicated by an underhand, chiefly persons in the corridors of power and some business magnate who wield financial and political influence to keep their surreptitious actions in the area under a bushel.
At one tentacle, there is the battle between the military defence forces against the Ambazonian separatist fighters which has claimed many lives on both sides in the entire Menchum Division.
But what turns out to have left a colossal damage in the restive area is the machinated parallel conflict reportedly fueled by some Yaounde regime barons and business cum political “untouchables” whose intent is to give the name of an accompaniment of a religious war as a leeway to exact inconceivable atrocities on innocent civilians.
This unpunctured silence has been interpreted as a visa for such genocidal ferocities to be maintained across the area with a perceivable ploy to annihilate the graffis while pitting them against a few misguided fulanis and conserve the scarce commodity of land.
