With a twisted face and a heavy heart one could be tempted to applaud the CPDM regime for having manifested enormous ingenuity in Cameroons political landscape by keeping the people spell bound in recolonized shackles for more than three decades.
It is evident this ingenuity has been fast shifted to political insanity which is clearly demonstrated by the senseless war declared by the Cameroon government and highly supported by the CPDM cabals in total disregard of the people’s interests but for their own political gains.
The consequences of the war in the NW and SW regions coupled with a longstanding history of human rights abuses has witnessed not only a cut off of military ties with the United States but of recent the suspension of Cameroon from the benefits under the AFRICAN GROWTH AND OPPORTUNITY ACT (AGOA) which is to take effect come 1st of January 2020.
With this Cameroon stands to loose over 413 million US dollars totaled in both imports and exports as per the 2018 statistics. In this same light over 1000 jobs are going to be lost .
Fairly recently the world bank ranked Cameroon in a relegated position of 166th in doing business in the world. To crown it all the with the staggering unemployment rates in Cameroon.
With all this insanity the Cameroon government officials are still playing the imperialist card i.e. Crying fowl that the west is trying to destabilize Cameroon .
Come to think of it !
Is it really the western countries that caused Cameroon government officials to be grossly corrupt?
Is it really the west or America per se that caused our military to be so unprofessional or is it the west that rigs elections in Cameroon?
Is the west that has caused us bad roads, no electricity or unemployment?
Certainly we do not dispute the existence of western influence in former colonies, but let’s be clear on one thing ” clean your house first and treat every one with equality ,with a sense of belonging then no external influence will be strong enough to destabilize you “.
With all these happening one could safely conclude that the entire Cameroon government and it’s officials are suffering from a BI POLAR DISEASE since the officials now believe in their own illogical and insane arguments no mater how strange it sounds to the world at large .
The reality is that all this is happening because the minority Bulu clan in particular and French Cameroun in general has simply stepped into the shoes of its colonial masters ,
recolonizing the rest of Cameroon and playing the card of assimilation through its neo colonial administrators.
The question therefore goes can the so much preached unity in diversity work in this present dispensation? Or can can we actually fight the western influence admits chaos at home ?
The answer is obviously in the negative.
As a way forward diversity in all it’s forms should be pre-modal for the formation of governance structures. In this manner the civilization of every grouping taking into consideration their cultures, language ethnicity or origins will be effectively represented and respected to the satisfaction of all.
In a bigger picture an attempt to further fuse the English and French systems will lead to nothing short of a disaster because we were taught and trained in complete opposite directions that’s why the French and English systems run on parallel lines.
A return to the 1961 -72 Federal structure is the most absolute cure to avoid a further fragmented African nation, a bigger nation a better economy, a bigger nation a better stand at the international political arena .
