The French are here with a “vengeance”. They won’t let lose Cameroun. Not just after the Russians have consolidated their grip on Central Africa. Why?
Read Retired Supreme Court Justice Ayah Paul Abine’s terse, analytical commentary titled:
BATTLE LINES DRAWN
As soon as the United States of America announced the withdrawal of their military personnel that were training the Camerounese military, (BIR), some of the Camerounese wrong men embarked on suggesting to the government to turn to Russia.
It virtually coincided with the Russian bridgehead in Central African Republic in defiance of the French reminder that that country was a PRECARRE FRANCAIS!
The French sensed danger with the presence of the Camerounese leader in Russia with the possible consequential replay of the Central African situation! Thus were the French prompted to forestall another push to the periphery, this time in Cameroun.
Strategy: Russia had to be weakened in the Central African Republic by the French maintaining the grip on the Camerounese seaports. Hence the powerful come-back of Bollore! That was also judged as keeping Russia under the French watchful eye in the Russian reconstruction of SONARA!
Pragmatically and equally important had to be the immediate show of force by the landing of French soldiers in Cameroun by a French warship! Losing another PRECERRE FRANCAIS so soon and side by side was intolerable!
In the long term, only the stability of Cameroun would keep Russia permanently at bay. The hot spots are Ambazonia and the Far North. Little surprise, then, that the French Foreign Minister had to visit the latter hot spot and lavish the population with huge sums of money!
In respect of Ambazonia, however, the mistake the French would make would be their involvement in the armed conflict. Reciprocity and proportionality would inevitably draw in the Russians – be it only covertly. Another way of saying Ambazonia is ground to tread cautiously!
All in all, what the Camerounese policy makers should not lose sight of is that they cannot bow hot and cold simultaneously: talk peace while making the land the battlefield for foreign countries!
IT IS A CONTRADICTION IN TERMS!
