The controversial action of the Divisional officer of the commune of Ayos located north of Akonolinga sub-division who yesterday the 23rd Slapped a young male teacher because he stopped her way into his class to talk about violence in schools has come under heavy criticism on social media and traditional media. Some have criticised her action and even when further to call for her sacking or resignation while other have supported her.
This is the case for Cyrille Tollo a university lecturer and strong supporter of the Biya regime who on his Facebook wall defended the D.O action saying;
“The Divisional officer (D.O) is the representative of the government and of all ministers.
No teacher, whether a Phd holder or doctoral student, can prohibit the D.O from entering a classroom to raise awareness among young people about school violence.
In the exercise of her mission and at this moment, the divisional officer represents your Minister dear young colleague.
In addition, no one has the right to attack an administrative authority in the exercise of their missions. She was on official tour.
You will go and do your savagery there in another Republic, not in Cameroon.
Long live Madame The Divisional officer”
