A letter of disclaimer as candidate for the 2020 municipal election in Batibo Momo Division
I the undersigned, TEKE KINGSLEY SAMUEL, adult of Cameroonian nationality here by states as follows
- Following the publication of the municipal list for Batibo In the upcoming election, it is regrettable and unacceptable that I found my name appearing as a candidate for the said election as candidate number 33.
- That election, is a process of candidates declaring their intensions, to run for public offices and as such, this process is guided by the laws put in place.
- That a candidate standing for election, be it municipal or legislative has a vision and a mission for his people, when he or she is elected in office. It is and will never be an arbitrary action.
- That with regard to the above act and omission of those concerned, their action is not only criminal but an act of political corruption.
- That I TEKE KINGSLEY SAMUEL did not compile any document let alone, did I have any will to be candidate on the CPDM council list Batibo.
- That I will not walk on the blood of my people and fellow brothers and sisters to go for an election.
- That a free, fair and transparent election is void of manipulations, violence, but since the year 2016 the two Anglophones regions have been embedded with sporadic gun shots and indiscriminate killings.
- That I urge the proponents of such a diabolic and criminal action to tender an apology to me or would face the wrath of justice.
