Biya removes Catouche

In a simple round table discussion, Mr Biya removes his “catouche” from his bag to read. A typical dump system where a leader is used to only giving speeches and not brainstorming and sharing ideas.

My observation of the 10 minutes video shows how Mo Ibrahim useless the dictator. Biya looked shattered like a class 5 boy caught stealing answer in the middle of an exam. That power he shows in Cameroon was seized and he saw himself in the first time being told what to do. For a man who’s above the law in his country, he was embarrassed that two minutes were accorded him and worse the moderator reminded him that “here we are all equal”. This was like pulling the chair under his buttocks. Am sure he bite his teeth and wonder if his BIR could arrest this man. He is used to being worshipped like a god but met a man who has no respect for dictators. Come on, this is Mo Ibrahim. A billionaire par excellence who has gone as far as investing billions in an attempt to get these old crooks out of power. A price that has seen very little winners in a continent of over 50 dictators.

Biya pilots a bilingual nation but is unable to speak English. This maybe seen as an overside but it should be worrying that for over 37 years (my age) Biya could not learn English as a second language but want others to do so before they could work in his jacobean system.

THE ONLY HONEST TRUTH

As nature would have it, he agreed that all efforts to assimilate the “Anglophones ” have failed and that is why there is a conflict. Doubting thomases must have heard it from the right source that for the past 57 years what seemed like reunification was simply colonization with the aim of assimilating and usurping the Sourhern Cameroons. The chicks are coming home to roost too. What remains now is that one day he will declare that SC is an independent nation.

I always liken Biya to Mobutu of Zaire who ended up leaving his country in a cargo plane. That day will come for him, incha Alah
